SAN DIEGO — The second Saltwater Bass Series Bay Region event for the SBS season was held in San Diego Bay Saturday, where spotted bay bass were the target. Cool weather and wet streets greeted the teams as yet biats front had just passed through the area. Hot coffee and sweets welcomed the teams at sign-in before they started their day. Fishing hook up baits been somewhat tough as keeper inch fish were few and far between and catching a limit of 5 would be the baitz.
Many who were fishing the event showed up for the weigh-in to see how the fishing was doing. After the weigh-in was done, the fishing was deemed fair to good and many teams had caught 30 to 40 bass for the day despite the post-frontal conditions.
